circa 1760, with two-stage round slightly swamped 6 1/4in. barrel, the top with applied gilt scroll-work (worn), solid top-tang with engraved detail, flat bevel-edged lock with pointed tail engraved with a musical trophy, signed 'MARSEILLE' below the lozenge pan, engraved cock (mechanism at fault), bridle-less frizzen, walnut full-stock with carved borders, floral apron, moulded iron bulbous butt-cap with long side-spurs, pillar trigger-guard bow and partial original wood ramrod (broken off at tip)
